The PADI Open Water course is generally completed in three days, though occasionally it takes a little longer. This is because we progress at your pace, not ours.
You will complete your PADI Open Water course in three easy steps.
Step One - Academics
You will complete this portion online before you arrive in Cozumel. When you enroll in your course, you will receive your PADI eLearning and all required course paperwork, allowing you to start this step immediately.
Step Two - Confined Water Dives
This is where the fun really begins. In this step, you will complete five confined water dives. These are generally completed at Tikila Beach, across the road from our location. When conditions do not allow a comfortable learning environment, we will use a local pool. Your confined water dives are completed over a minimum of two days. During these confined water dives, you will develop the scuba skills necessary to dive safely. Since we progress at your pace, not ours, this step occasionally takes a little longer to complete.
Step Three - Open Water Dives
Your Open Water Dives will be the last step in learning to scuba dive. You will complete four Open Water Dives over two days. During these dives, you will show off your new skills as a scuba diver to your Instructor as you explore some of the beautiful reefs of Cozumel.
The first two Open Water dives will be shore dives, and your final Open Water dives will be boat dives in the famous Cozumel Marine Park.
Once these dives are completed, you will be a certified PADI Open Water Diver. Your PADI Open Water Certification is recognized worldwide, so your diving experiences will be limitless.
The following is included with your PADI Open Water Course:
- PADI eLearning
- All required scuba equipment
- Four Shore Dives
- DAN Student Insurance for added peace of mind
- All taxes and fees — the price you see is the price you pay
