Course 1: PADI Open Water

Your Open Water course is where everything starts. You'll complete PADI eLearning before arriving in Cozumel, then spend about three days working through confined water skills and your open water training dives — including one two-tank boat dive for dives three and four. By the end, you'll have your PADI Open Water Diver certification, valid worldwide for life.

Course 2: PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy

Peak Performance Buoyancy is one of the first specialty courses every new diver should take. It focuses entirely on control — how to hover effortlessly, maintain proper trim, streamline your body and gear, and move through the water without disturbing the reef below you.

Good buoyancy makes diving easier, safer, and more enjoyable. It reduces air consumption, protects the reef, and is the single skill that separates comfortable divers from anxious ones. You'll complete one dedicated shore dive with your instructor focused entirely on getting this dialed in.

Prerequisites

To enroll, you must be at least 10 years old and in good physical health. All participants must complete the PADI Medical Statement before any in-water activities. If you answer "yes" to any medical question, physician approval is required before diving.

Participants ages 10 to 11 must also have a legal guardian read the Youth Diving Responsibility and Risks Acknowledgment and view the Youth Diving Responsibility and Risk Video.
