What is included in the Open Water and Advanced Open Water bundle?

The bundle includes PADI Open Water eLearning, PADI Advanced Open Water eLearning, all rental scuba equipment, a dive computer, DAN student diver insurance, all training dives (shore and boat) for both courses, both PADI certifications, taxes, and fees. Everything is included — there are no add-on charges.

How long does the bundle take to complete?

The bundle takes approximately five days — about three days for the PADI Open Water course and two days for the PADI Advanced Open Water course. Courses are completed back to back, so you earn both certifications in one trip to Cozumel.

Do I need any prior diving experience to enroll?

No prior experience is required. The bundle starts with the PADI Open Water course, which is designed for complete beginners. You will learn everything you need from the beginning before progressing to your Advanced Open Water training.

What is the minimum age for the bundle?

The minimum age is 15 years old, as the PADI Advanced Open Water course requires students to be at least 15. Students ages 12-14 may be eligible for Junior certifications — contact us for details.

How much is the deposit to book?

A $300.00 deposit is required to secure your space. The remaining balance is due at the beginning of your course when you arrive in Cozumel.

How much does the bundle cost compared to booking the courses separately?

The bundle is $900.00. Booking the PADI Open Water course ($495) and PADI Advanced Open Water course ($475) separately costs $970. The bundle saves you $70.

Do I need to complete anything before arriving in Cozumel?

Yes. Both the PADI Open Water and PADI Advanced Open Water eLearning programs should be completed before your in-water training begins. After your deposit is received, Dive Boutique Cozumel will send your eLearning access codes. Completing your academics in advance means more time in the water when you arrive.

Course 1: PADI Open Water

Your Open Water course takes about three days. You'll complete PADI eLearning before you arrive in Cozumel, then work through confined water skills and your open water training dives — including one two-tank boat dive. By the end, you'll have your PADI Open Water Diver certification, valid worldwide for life.

We move at your pace. If you need more time on a skill, we build in the space to do it right. Your comfort and confidence matter more than a fast finish.

Course 2: PADI Advanced Open Water

Once you're Open Water certified, you go straight into your Advanced. Over about two days, you'll complete five Adventure Dives — including the required Deep Dive and Underwater Navigation Dive — plus three more based on conditions and your interests.

Adventure dive options may include drift diving, night diving, wreck diving, peak performance buoyancy, fish identification, search and recovery, boat diving, and enriched air nitrox. Selection depends on conditions and scheduling.
